Allen Pyke Associates were appointed by Octavia Housing Association to develop an landscape strategy and detailed hard and soft package for construction, in partnership with JCMT architects and Mansell Construction.
The scheme includes an extra care unit where consideration was given to creating a safe and engaging environment for the elderly. The scheme was designed to reach Bream Very Good standard and included the modification of a standard adopted street and footpath into a shared surface lane that the council agreed to adopt.
Construction was completed in 2010 and has just won a 'Best Place to live in London' award in the Royal Town Planning Institute's annual London Planning Awards.
