Retirement Villages

The practice has been involved in a number of retirement villages. These have the very particular needs of the end users paramount in the design. The environment must be used sensitively to create pleasing views for those who are confined indoors, sensory stimulation and easy access for those with disabilities and the creation of different ‘external rooms’ to allow privacy, quiet reflection and a pleasant distraction from treatment for those who are able to get out and enjoy gardens and courtyards either alone or with visitors.
